Frequently Asked Questions
What are your services like?
Good question. Emmanuel is super friendly and we hope you will feel a warm welcome. We spend time singing, praying for others and listening to a message from one of our pastors. The sermons are about 35 minutes and relevant to daily living from a Christian perspective. The music is a blend of contemporary and traditional worship.
Everyone is welcome!

1st service has about 65-70 worshipers and 2nd service about 140-145. The music and preaching are identical in both services.
What should I wear?
Emmanuel is not a very uptight place. Most people wear casual clothes, like what you might wear on date night or a nice night out. Wear what you are most comfortable wearing and you'll be just fine as long as what you are most comfortable in isn't a speedo.
Is there anything for my kids?
Of course! We love kids! On Sunday mornings we have Sunday school at 9:15am and we have classes for all age levels. We have ministry for kids ages 3yrs - 2nd grade during our 10:30am service called Godly Play. We dismiss kids to go to Godly Play about 1/2 way through the service.

Our nursery is available for use but it is only staffed during the 10:30 am service.
What time are the services?
We have 2 services that are identical. 8:00 am and 10:30 am, with Sunday school in between. Our 10:30 am service has a ministry to children (Godly Play) that we kids 3 yrs - 2nd grade are dismissed to about half-way through the service.
What are your beliefs?
That's a big question. We believe that there is one God the Father and no one comes to Him except through His son Jesus, whom the Bible teaches, died on a cross for the sins of the world and those who believe in Him are saved to eternal life.

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT:
THE CHURCH
Are you guys just a bunch of old people?
We are very much committed to being an intergenerational church, which means that we think that the church is most like the kingdom of God when old and young worship and serve together. We have a lot of activities for seniors, parents raising families, young adults, youth and children but we are at our best when we are all together.

The 8am service typically draws and older crowd than the 10:30am service. We do not have children's programming during the 8am service.
Does Emmanuel belong to a denomination?
