SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday School at Emmanuel is a vital part of the life of the church as we share and learn together.  We have a class for all ages from birth through adults.  Our 6th grade through Sr. Citizen classes meet in 10 week sections with the sharing of a common meal and announcement of new courses during the 11th week.  ALL are welcome to attend and there is always a class to join that you do not have to begin at week 1.

GROWING YOUNG -PASTOR CHRIS SMITH, FACILITATOR

Sept. 15 - Nov. 17

"Growing Young"—Kara Powell, Jake Mulder, Brad Griffin

Churches are losing both members and vitality as increasing numbers of young people disengage. Based on groundbreaking research with over 250 of the nation's leading congregations, Growing Young provides a strategy any church can use to involve and retain teenagers and young adults. It profiles innovative churches that are engaging 15- to 29-year-olds and as a result are growing--spiritually, emotionally, missionally, and numerically. Packed with both research and practical ideas, Growing Young shows pastors and ministry leaders how to position their churches to engage younger generations in a way that breathes vitality, life, and energy into the whole church.

STARTING POINT CONNIE HESTON, FACILITATOR

Sept. 15 - Nov. 17

Everything has a starting point—your life, your relationships, your education, your career.

Sometimes we forget that faith has a starting point as well. For some of us, our faith journeys began in childhood as a set of beliefs handed to us by a parent, teacher, or pastor. Maybe you developed a framework of faith based on personal experience. Or maybe you had no faith at all. Too often, a faith formed in childhood isn’t strong enough to withstand the pressures of adult life.

But what if you could find a new starting point for faith?

This video series, led by Andy Stanley, will challenge us to reboot our relationship with God, the church and our understanding of the Bible.

SENIOR ADULT BIBLE STUDY - JAN STROHBECK, FACILITATOR
